Bucaresti Mall

|
When it opened in 1999, Bucuresti Mall was the first in the capital to bring international shopping and retail standards to Romania. In 2007 the complex was expanded to 99,000 square metres, including an 800 metre parking garage. Today, the large parking garage (a true rarity in Buch), 5000 sqm supermarket, food court, multiplex cinema and amusement centre are the main draws to this former Ceausescu construction (now neatly converted into an American cathedral of commercialism). Located about 1 km outside the historic centre, you can find just about anything you need and a lot more that you don't in over 140 shops, including Marks & Spencer, Levi's and something called 'Adidas.' |

I can't say there's anything particularly special about this shopping centre, other than its (huge) side. However, there is a wide variety of shops so if you like spending an entire day shopping (or if it's raining during your trip), this is a good place to go.
