Laptaria Enache

Bitty elevators with needless attendants barge you to the top floor of the National Theatre, which despite its grandeur and grand application, feels a lot more like a neglected academic building than cultural centerpiece. Upon entering Laptaria Enache, the impression is only deepened by the profusion of students, beer in plastic cups and corny 80s and 90s music (Spin Doctors, Billy Joel) in this immensely popular and overrated bar. Live music is a regular fixture with webcasts through the bar's crappy website on weekends. In summer the action migrates to a popular and preferable rooftop terrace (La Motoare). |
