"Overrated by my standards. If you want to see the "real" Bucharest you're better off going to a club where locals go."

Rooms

"Rooms is also a wireless hotspot; they even have an iMac with free internet you can use. And they serve food including light appetisers like bruschetta, as well as soups and sushi"

"Tell me honest, now: is this place really all that?"

Cool Cat
reviewed by Bucharest Life

on Jan.09.2008

"Despite how it sounds (and the regrettably corny name), Cool Cat is actually one of the best chill out spots in town. With so many new places opening around town that are desperate to be chic and trendy, Cool Cat is refreshingly neither. As unpretentious as they come, a visit to Cool Cat always begins as a casual meeting between friends and always seems to end as a belligerent sit-in, refusing to return to society. We like it."

Laptaria Enache
reviewed by Bucharest Life
from Romania
on Dec.21.2007

"To find the rather obscure entrance to Laptaria Enache (literally 'Enache's Milkbar'), go around the left of the front entrance of the National Theatre and enter near Dominusart Gallery, following signs to Cafe Deko (in the same building, 2nd floor)"
